Madlax capital box lacrosse league

Since 2008...the DMV's Original & Ultimate BOX LACROSSE League.

Madlax and Beltway Lacrosse League are extremely excited to announce that they are joining forces to create the ultimate winter box lacrosse league for boys in grades 1st-8th. The CBLL-Capital Box Lacrosse League has been around since 2008 and Beltway Lacrosse League will bring a wealth of box expertise and experience to the table. The result will be the best winter league the DMV has ever seen offering fun, fair, and competitive box games at a premier facility at Dulles Sportsplex in Sterling, VA.

Quick Info for 2025-26 Season

  • Boys in 1st-8th grades will play all games on Saturdays this season at the Dulles SportsPlex on their newer field turf fields! 
  • Games start conveniently between 12pm - 7pm. 
  • 6 Game Dates: 12/6, 12/13, 12/20, 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31. Save all dates!
  • Youngest players and teams will go earliest starting at 12pm and we will work our way up to the oldest players and teams later in the afternoon! 
  • Championship Games will be on 1.31
  • Divisions will be organized for both travel and rec players 
  • Players from same rec programs, school or travel teams will be kept together
  • All-Star Team Posted & Championship Game MVP Award
  • Team Reversibles Provided to ALL players
  • Professional Referees and Game/Field coordinators provided
  • Top Players in the CBLL may be invited to play on the Capital North Stars elite box team that travels to two tourney. 

Beltway Lacrosse

Since the Inception of CBLL, Beltway Staff has been part of the league.
One of the oldest off-season leagues in the DMV.
Box is not a fade. Its in the DNA of everything that we do. We are passionate about box lacrosse and its role in developing elite lacrosse players.

Why Box: For young and developing players, the ball never goes out of bounds. Lots of ground balls and lots of touches makes the perfect environment for development.

Recreational Division: Vienna, Mclean, Great Falls, Falls Church, Brigade, Arlington and CYA are some of the teams that have participated in the past
Travel Division: Madlax, Top Caliber, VLC, True & Bethesda are some of the teams that have participated in the past

How to have success:
- Wear the proper pads, that means hard plastic kidney pads, bicep guards and wrist guards.


- Box requires players to set pics and screen, it requires constant movement. It is very different than field lacrosse. Adopt the indoor game.


- Expect to play offense and defense, don't take plays off.
